ceiA3 presents the Copernicus Academy Network Programme at the University of Huelva

ceiA3 made a presentation of Copernicus Programme to participants involved in the Erasmus + Project of the University of Huelva and Namibia

Specifically, ceiA3 presented its part on the section of the course entitled 'Application of Remote Sensing for Environmental Monitoring' given this morning at the University of Huelva, where it has addressed what the lines of actions of the Campus are, as well as one of its areas of strategic specialization: Digitalization and Big Data.

ceiA3 is part of the Copernicus Academy Network Programme since last year. It has an action plan that includes the approach of the possibilities of this project to the university and research community, so that they can make the most of what it can offer.

Copernicus is a joint initiative of the European Commission and the European Space Agency whose main goal is the Environment observation to better understand the environmental changes that occur on Earth. It also aims to study the reasons of these changes, their influence on our lives and, in this way , to contribute to the protection of the environment, health and safety of citizens. It is a tool for economic development and a driver for the digital economy offering a free and open data network.

On April 25 at 17:57 GMT (19:57 CEST) the launch of Sentinel-3B took place within the Copernicus European programme, a milestone that has completed the constellation of the first set of Sentinel missions. The take-off took place from the Plesetsk cosmodrome (Russia).
