ceiA3 participates in the 'I International Conference on Traditional Wines of Andalusia'

The International Agri-food Campus of Excellence ceiA3 will have and important representation in the implementation of the 'I International Conference on Traditional Wines of Andalusia' that has been presented this week in the International Fair of Noble Wines named VINOBLE.

The ' I International Conference on Traditional Andalusian Wines', scheduled for the month of April 2019 in Madrid, will be organized by the Wine Regulatory Councils of Andalusia: Regulatory Council of Jerez-Xeres-Sherry PDO, Manzanilla of Sanlúcar and Jerez Vinegar; Regulatory Council of the PDO County of Huelva, Orange Wine and Vinegar of Huelva County; Regulatory Council of PDOs and Vinegar of Montilla-Moriles and the Regulatory Council of PDO Málaga, Málaga Mountains and Málaga raisins.

The campus ceiA3 will be part of the Technical - Academic Committee, collaborating with the program preparation and supporting some of their researchers attached to the Campus. Besides, The Honorary Committee will be represented by university rectors also attached to the campus.

This congress is created with the aim of vindicating the common historical origin of traditional Andalusian wines, defending the exclusivity of elaboration and ageing systems of Andalusian wines.

The presentation of this event, which took place in Jerez de la Frontera as part of the VINOBLE International Fair of Noble Wines, was attended by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development of the Junta de Andalucía, Rodrigo Sánchez Haro; the Mayoress of Jerez, María del Carmen Sánchez Díaz; and the presidents of Wine Denominations of Andalusia.

Likewise, the manager of the Campus ceiA3, Lola de Toro, that will be part of the academic committee together with the University of Malaga, and two national experts in the field of the generous and traditional wines of Andalusia, have also been present at the event. They are Juancho Asenjo and Paco del Castillo.

#DejaTuHuella (#Leave your mark)

During the day, it was presented one of the operational group project part of the International Agri-food Campus of Excellence named #DejaTuHuella, with the University of Córdoba; Foundation for the Control of the Agri-Food Quality of Andalusia (FCCAA), integrated by the Regulatory Councils of the Wines with PDO 'Montilla-Moriles', ‘Huelva County' and 'Málaga' and ' Málaga Mountains'; CO2 Consulting S.L companies; Alas6enlaplaya; and Intelify.

#DejaTuHuella is an innovative project funded by Junta de Andalucía, through the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development.
