Research groups attached to the ceiA3 will play an active role in the European Researchers' Night, which will be held simultaneously in more than 250 cities around Europe next September 28.

Organized by the Units of Scientific Culture and Innovation (UCC+i) of the University of Cordoba, the Botanical Garden and the IESA-CSIC, the dissemination activities will take place in the gardens of the University of Cordoba's administration building. In this way, it will be opened from 19 to midnight for those who want to know the lastest researches carried out by the institution, in an educational and fun way.

Specifically, the group AGR-126 Technology and Mechanization in olive groves will be part of the Smart Agriculture stand. There, visitors will have the opportunity to know how the technological revolution and artificial intelligence are managing to change the way of working in the field.

The participation of this team attached to the ceiA3 will be developed within the framework of the projects Dosaolivar: Dosage of phytosanitary products in olive groves and CUVrEN: Covers of Native Species in olive groves.

On the other hand, the research groups AGR-149 Infectious Diseases, AGR-137 Animal Pathological Anatomy and AGR-256 Animal Health: Diagnosis and Disease Control will play an active role in this encounter with science as well. Therefore, they will introduce the project InnoTuber: New measures and techniques of control of bovine tuberculosis in Andalusia.

These Operational Groups' projects, in which ceiA3 is currently working together with two of its aggregated universities, Cordoba and Jaen, are part of the call for the Operation of Regional Operational Groups of the European Innovation Partnership for Agricultural productivity and Sustainability (EIP AGRI). They constitute an aided investment with funds EAFRD—European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development—by the Junta de Andalucía through the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development.

Here you will find the details about the European Researchers' Night's activities in Cordoba.

Meanwhile, in Almeria

The European Researchers' Night will be organized by the Research Results Transfer Office (OTRI) of the University of Almeria. There, the research group of ceiA3 FQM-170 Analytical chemistry of pollutants will be located at a stand in the headquarters of the Federico Garcia Lorca promenade from 18 to 22 PM.

Its participation focused on bioeconomy is part of the H2020 BLOOM project—Boosting European citizens knowLedge and awareness of biOeconomy research and innovation—, whose consortium is part of the ceiA3 together with partners from Austria, Poland, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Finland and Sweden.

Here you will find all the programming in Almeria.

The European Researchers' Night is a scientific dissemination project promoted by the European Commission within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions of the Horizon 2020 program. In Andalusia it is coordinated by Fundación Descubre and will be held simultaneously in the 8 Andalusian regions with 13 scientific institutions involvement.
