As intermediary agent of the seven ongoing projects of regional Operational Groups of Andalucia with EIP AGRI, ceiA3 participated in the Workshop on Innovation in the Agricultural and Forestry Sector held by Fundacion Empresa – Universidad Gallega (FEUGA) and EIP AGRI in Santiago de Compostela.

Throughout the day, ceiA3 presented the ongoing projects of regional Operational Groups in order to make them visible and promote networks at an international level.

Specifically, the presented projects were DOSAOLIVAR (Dosage of Phytosanitary Products in Olive Groves), CUVrEN (Coverings of Native Species in Olive Groves), InnoTuber (new control measures and techniques for bovine tuberculosis in Andalucia), #DejaTuHuella, 4 Retornos (regeneration of degraded soils), Subpgan (improved management, valuation and marketing of livestock byproducts through innovation) and Huella de Agua (organic sector in Andalucia). All of them are financed by EAFRD through the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development of the Junta de Andalucia.

In its role as quadruple helix between Administration, Academy, Sector and Society, ceiA3 aims at disseminating successful experiences in the area through the presentation of these innovative projects. Like this, it contributes to the innovation in the agrifood and forestry sector and in rural areas.

45 Operational Groups

This workshop aimed at the promotion of the interconnection of regional, supra-regional and European operational groups, as well as the creation of thematic networks. In this context, a total of 45 operational groups from Spain, France and Portugal were expounded, of which seven were presented by ceiA3.

Grouped by topics related to the livestock, wine and olive sector, operational groups were explained in 10-minute presentations and then open to questions.

The Agrifood Campus of International Excellence ceiA3 collaborated in the organization of this workshop—held by the Fundacion Empresa–Universidad Gallega (FEUGA) and EIP AGRI, and financed under the framework of the agreement between the Regional Ministry of Education, University and Professional Training and FEUGA.
