ceiA3 offers 46 Master’s Degrees and 28 Doctoral Programs in Agrifood

Next August 25th ends the registration period in the Master's and Doctoral Degrees of the International PhD School of the Agrifood Campus of International Excellence ceiA3. In total, during the academic year 2013/2014, eidA3 offers 46 masters and 28 doctoral programs in agrifood, in addition to the 35 undergraduate degrees taught at the headquarters of the 5 Universities of the ceiA3 consortium: Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Huelva and Jaen, in which there are still remaining placements the second phase access scheduled for September.
The ceiA3 International PhD School gathers the most advanced programs in which future researchers are trained with the guarantees of a center with highly qualified professors and internationally recognized.
During the academic year 2012/2013, from an academic point of view, there have been developed through the International Doctoral School (eidA3) various initiatives that have led to the award of 84 scholarships in different modalities (joint supervision, Master’s Thesis .... ), or specific training to over 200 students (network training courses, ...) or 900 high school and Secondary students through summer scientific campuses.
PhD in agrifood studies:
To be admitted to the doctoral program, students must meet one of these requirements:
• University graduates, engineers, architects and university graduate in 240-ECTS-degrees who have completed a Master's Degree of research profile, which shall include at least 16 ECTS in methodology and research training, and have completed the master's thesis with research character. This training must be directly related to the topic of the PhD program.
• University graduates whose studies, according to the rules of Community law, have at least 300 ECTS, graduates in Engineering and Law who have completed the corresponding Master with professional character associated with their undergraduate studies; they must have completed 16 ECTS of complementary training of Doctoral studies consisting of methodological and research training and research work equivalent to at least 16 ECTS.
• University graduates who, upon obtaining of training placement in the corresponding entrance test to specialized medical training, have received positive evaluation of at least two years of training in a program to obtain the official degree of one of the specialties in Health Sciences: they may be admitted directly or must take the complementary training courses of doctoral studies established by the Academic Commission of the PhD program.
• Doctors who have obtained a Doctorate Degree under previous arrangements or university graduates, architects or engineers who hold the Diploma of Advanced Studies obtained in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 778/1998, of April 30, or had reached sufficient research regulated by Royal Decree 185/1985, of January 23.
• University graduates holding a Master's degree obtained under foreign educational systems. They may be admitted to doctoral studies without the approval of the degree, after verification by the university where they are enrolled that the interested person certifies a level of education equivalent to the corresponding Spanish Master's degree, including research training equivalent to the referred to in paragraphs a) and b), and that this degree authorizes in the issuing country the access to doctoral studies. This admission does not imply any approval of the original degree held by the person concerned, or his recognition for purposes other than doctoral studies.
