A young ceiA3 researcher awarded by the World Regional Studies Associatio

Javier Díaz Bay, researcher in training from the Agrifood Campus of International Excellence ceiA3, as well ad doctoral student of the Doctorate Programme in Life Science and Agrifood Science of the University of Córdoba, won the first prize from Young Researchers, for his paper "Sub national Economic Policy: Fiscal self-dependency and economic growth. The case of San Juan y Mendoza provinces (Argentina)". The announcement came at the World Regional Studies Association Conference, held in Fortaleza (Brazil).

The World Regional Studies Association is the most reputed and internationally well-known scientific association is the most important international scientific society that deals with analysis of regions and regional issues.

Javier is working on his doctoral thesis on Food insecurity and its relation to economic growth in Latin America and the Caribbean, under the supervision of the Prof. Mª del Mar Delgado, with funding by the Iberoamerican University Association for Postgraduate studies.
