New calls for expression of interest for individual experts and organisations to recommend experts for the Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme

On 22 November 2013, the European Commission launched new calls for expression of interest for individual experts and organisations to recommend experts for the Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.

Experts are needed to evaluate proposals for EU funding and for other activities such as monitoring, programme evaluation and policy development. If you are interested in presenting your application to provide support for these tasks, please apply online by clicking on the link below:
http://ec.europa.eu/research/participants/portal/desktop/en/experts/index.html

To access the expert registration tool, you need to create an ECAS (European Commission Authentication Service) account which you will be invited to do once you click the ‘Register as expert’ button accessible from the link above.

The profile is made up of 6 sections: Programme Selection, Personal Details, Languages, Education, Area of Expertise and Professional Experience. A green tick mark indicates that the section is valid. You can verify whether your profile is valid on the top left of the screen (6/6 Status Valid). The Commission services, when searching for specific expertise, will only be able to identify you if you have a valid expert profile.

The support services (FAQ as well as the Horizon 2020 helpdesk/Research Enquiry Service for general enquiries and the IT helpdesk for technical matters) are accessible from the online registration platform. Further details on the type of expertise sought are set out in the Participant Portal
